Meet Constance Collins

We are proud to present the 2023 McIntyre Community Service Award to Mx. Contance Collins, JD.

The image features Mx. Constance Collins, the "2023 Eddy McIntyre Community Service Award" recipient. Collins has short, curly hair and is standing in front of trees wearing a pink t-shirt. Collins' t-shirt catches attention as it features a lotus flower design. The lotus flower design is emphasized as the text "Rainbow Lotus" is displayed just below, providing further context to the flower design.

Mx. Contance Collins, JD has used their 22+ years of finance, real estate, and legal experience to develop and support a substantial network of women’s shelters and shelter programs across the country. They are the founder and Executive Director of Lotus House, a homeless shelter/service provider to women and children in Miami, FL., as well as the President and Executive Director of the National Women’s Shelter Network, which aims to advance resources for women and children experiencing homelessness nationwide.

The National LGBTQ Task Force advances full freedom, justice, and equality for LGBTQ people. We are building a future where everyone can be free to be their entire selves in every aspect of their lives. Today, despite all the progress we have made to end discrimination, millions of LGBTQ people face barriers in every aspect of their lives: in housing, employment, healthcare, retirement, and basic human rights. Those barriers must go.
