Say No to Section 2257!

Thank you for your interest in this critical issue!

The federal government has proposed regulations, known as Section 2257, that would effectively kill adult social-networking sites. The deadline for submitting comment to the Department of Justice was Sept. 10, 2007.

The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, Inc., became involved in this fight because we believe sexual freedom is a fundamental human right and we don’t think the government has any place in relations between consenting adults. These regulations are part of our government’s hypocritical and punitive views about sex, sexuality and reproductive rights. All of this — from abstinence-only sex education programs to the elimination of funding for accurate and explicit HIV prevention programs — fall hardest on LGBT people.

At the Task Force, we are always working on critical issues that affect our community. Please sign up for our e-newsletter Task Force Weekly Update to keep up on our work and to take action when our community needs it.
