For over a decade, Sarah Reece has worked as a community and electoral organizer for non-profit organizations, candidate campaigns and municipal government. During her five-year tenure at the Task Force, she has worked side by side with state and local LGBT leaders and allies to build political power through dynamic and aggressive electoral organizing and leadership development efforts. She led successful organizing efforts in Cincinnati, Ohio, resulting in the successful repeal of Article 12, as well as successful efforts to defeat anti-LGBT or pass pro-LGBT ballot initiatives in Cleveland Heights, Ohio; Ypsilanti, Mich.; Tacoma, Wash.; and Miami-Dade, Fla.

In 2004, Reece left the Task Force for six months to manage the NO on the Amendment campaign to defeat Kentucky's anti-marriage constitutional amendment. Despite the electoral loss, the campaign engaged thousands of new volunteers and donors across the Commonwealth, raised over $600,000 and identified nearly 20,000 supportive voters to strengthen Fairness and equality for all Kentuckians.

Reece currently works in Los Angeles, Calif., while maintaining a home with her partner in their home community of Louisville, Ky.
