Moonhawk River Stone, M.S. LMHC is a psychotherapist, consultant, educator and writer in private practice in the Albany, NY area; and is, himself, an out, open and proud transsexual man. Stone is a political activist for transgender civil rights and for transgender healthcare. Stone is a former Board Chair of the International Foundation for Gender Education, Inc. (IFGE) and former Board Co-chair of the New York Association for Gender Rights Advocacy, Inc. (NYAGRA) and was the first transgender member of the Empire State Pride Agenda Foundation Board of Directors where he served for three years. He has worked on the both GLMA ‘s Trans Health Care Committee and Intersex Research Committee, been a Co-chair of the Ending Disparities Committee of the National Coalition for LGBT Health. Stone is a member of the Task Force's Disability Oppression and Access Committe working most directly on issues at the Creating Change Conference.
