Creating Change live from Atlanta

The Task Force is in Atlanta for the 25th National Conference on LGBT Equality: Creating Change with the largest ever gathering of LGBT and allied activists, organizers and leaders! If you can’t be here with us, you can still be part of the action. We’ll be livestreaming our plenaries, starting with tonight’s opening at 8:00 PM ET. Deepak Bhargava, Executive Director of the Center for Community Change will deliver the opening keynote.

Also tonight, we’ll also be presenting the Paul A. Youth Leadership Award to Daniel Hernandez, Jr. Daniel was an intern for Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. While assisting Congresswoman Giffords at a constituent event in Tucson on January 8, 2011, Daniel acted quickly and courageously to save the life of the Congresswoman after a gunman shot her and 18 other people. We’re proud to present this award to a openly gay, humbly heroic man.
