2025 Be You Ball Gala

The National LGBTQ Task Force Gala: Be You Ball will celebrate the persevering fight for queer liberation and the trailblazers leading the LGBTQ struggle in South Florida and the United States.

We welcome our attendees to the Diplomat Hotel & Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida on October 11, 2025 for an evening that features a cocktail reception, a spectacular silent auction, a three-course dinner, awards ceremony, performances, and a DJ!

Dominique Jackson

Dominique Jackson’s community work has been a hallmark of her career, fighting for trans rights on the ground and in the digital space. On screen, Jackson is a constant voice for issues impacting the LGBTQ+ community, capturing viewers’ eye as Elektra in POSE FX, to leading the 2025 Netflix documentary “I’m Your Venus” as an executive producer. Jackson is no stranger to Task Force, receiving the National Leadership Award at the 2023 Gala in the spirit of the Forever Strong, Unapologetically Queer theme for her leadership and dedication to amplifying trans rights through her celebrity as a platform.  

Performers

Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida (GMCSF)

Based in Wilton Manors, GMCSF is an award-winning LGBTQ+ nonprofit arts organization recognized for its breathtaking large scale concerts, deep community engagement, and powerful advocacy work. As the largest gay men’s chorus in the Southeast, and one of the top ten LGBTQ+ choruses in the nation, their voices bring joy, resilience, and pride to every performance.

Gadfrie Arbulu

The reigning Miss Continental 2026, Gadfrie is an international drag superstar from Peru. She joins the Be You Ball Gala during her tour across the United States and South America, delivering elegance and power that have earned her global acclaim.

T.P. Lords

An icon of South Florida’s ballroom scene and LBGTQ nightlife, T.P. Lords is a model, performer, and former Miss Florida at large. A true legend across drag generations, Lords embodies excellence and continues to set the standard for drag artistry.

Joey Young

Crowned Miss Continental Newcomer, Joey is a gifted vocalist and passionate young activist. Originally from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, she has graced many South Florida stages with her artistry, making her a natural fit for the Be You Ball Gala.

Tayanna Love

A ballroom legend and former Miss Florida at Large, Tayanna has build a reputation as an outspoken advocate and representative for South Florida’s LGBTQ community and abroad. Her presence at the Be You Ball Gala is a celebration of her enduring influence.

Athena Dion

Known as the star of Miami and Mykonos, Athena is the overall mother of the House of Dion and one of the most influential drag personas in South Florida. Recognized by government officials, and adored within Miami’s gay nightlife, she is a cultural force whose impact is felt far beyond the stage.
