Wear purple on Oct. 20 for Spirit Day!

The Task Force is always wearing pink and purple, but we’re encouraging everyone to don purple on Oct. 20 to show support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth. It’s one way for you to speak out against bullying and celebrate LGBT youth. Spirit Day was started in 2010 and the color purple symbolizes spirit on the rainbow flag.

You can participate by wearing purple, tweeting about #SpiritDay, making your Facebook profile photo purple and generally spreading the word. For details, go here.
