The Task Force is at Netroots Nation

This week the Task Force is in Minneapolis, Minn. for Netroots Nation 2011, the largest annual gathering of progressive bloggers, advocacy organizations and activists from across the country.

The Task Force is co-sponsoring the LGBT Netroots Connect pre-convention today, a full day of training and strategizing for LGBT leaders and online advocates.

On Thursday June 16, at 3:00 PM, Task Force Faith Work Director Rev. Rebecca Voelkel will be speaking on the panel Moving Forward with Faith. The panel will address lessons learned in faith organizing, share opportunities to expand relationships with online faith communities and discuss how to create campaigns that incorporate faith and values messaging into long-term progressive strategies.

We will also have a table in the exhibit hall June 16-18, so stop by and say hello to learn more about the Task Force and the National Conference on LGBT Equality: Creating Change in Baltimore, Md. January 25-29, 2012.

You can watch the conference via livestream here: http://www.netrootsnation.org/streaming

If you are unable to attend the conference, but you want to join the online conversation, you can use the conference hashtag #nn11 or the LGBT specific tag, #nn11lgbt on twitter. We’ll also be sending out updates throughout the week so stay tuned!
