Tell senators: No cuts to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security!

Right now in Washington, it looks like a terrible deal is taking shape on the debt ceiling which includes deep cuts to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.

It is urgent that you call your senators now at 1.866.584.1021 and ask them to make clear that they will not vote for a deal that cuts Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid benefits.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender seniors and disabled people rely heavily on Social Security because many are single and lack other economic resources to help them in their retirement years. In addition, LGBT people are more financially vulnerable because of pervasive discrimination in marriage and employment.

Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid should not be used as piggy banks by Washington politicians. Your benefits should not be cut to reduce the deficit.
