Task Force makes largest donation to date from Miami fundraising events

Over 80 guests recently joined members of the Task Force board and staff at a special reception to celebrate the Task Force’s largest contribution to date to the Dade Community Foundation’s GLBT Community Projects Fund.  Task Force Deputy Executive Director for External Relations Russell Roybal presented a check for $203,494 to Javier Soto, executive director of the Dade Community Foundation. This contribution brings the total amount the Task Force has donated to the foundation, benefiting grantees serving LGBT people, to just shy of $1,000,000 since the Task Force began producing the Miami Recognition Dinner and the Winter Party Festival.

The event was held at Bacardi USA headquarters in Coral Gables and completely underwritten by the Task Force’s national corporate partner, Grey Goose Vodka.
