The Maryland House of Delegates is holding a hearing in Annapolis this Friday, February 10 on The Civil Marriage Protection Act of 2012 and we need you in Annapolis. It is critical that we show strong support for marriage during this crucial time.

Can you join Marylanders for Marriage Equality and attend the House hearing on Friday, February 10th?

Bring your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers. Join us all day or for a shorter shift. Shift times are 9am-7pm (all day), 9am-2pm or 1pm-7pm. At Creating Change, Governor O’Malley publicly affirmed his support for marriage equality legislation and nondiscrimination protections in 2012. All of us need to do the same. Will you spend one evening with Marylanders for Marriage Equality to ensure we win in 2012?

One evening of your time is all it takes to visit your legislators and tell them how important marriage equality is to you and your family. One evening of your time is all it takes to join us in a massive rally on Lawyer’s Mall, just outside the legislative buildings and the State House, to be inspired by special guest speakers and to let the world know that we will not rest until we achieve equality for all Marylanders.

This year, Lobby Day will take place on the evening of Monday, February 13. The rally at Lawyer’s Mall will start at 6:00; before and after that, you will have the opportunity to visit with your legislators. After you have signed up, we will be in contact with you to give you all the details you need to join us for the rally and to lobby effectively for marriage equality.
