Rick is a native Washingtonian from when he was born at Georgetown University Hospital. He joined the Task Force in 2010, bringing 40 years of accounting experience and 30 years of non-profit accounting experience.
Rick came out in 1979 when the bars in DC did not have windows and first heard of the Task Force in the 1980s when they were fighting to find out more about the gay disease that he was reading about in the news. He now serves as the Senior Finance Manager at the Task Force, as well as a Winter Party Staff Member and Creating Change Registration Concierge.
He lives in Arlington, Virginia with his husband, Reverend Steven Baines, who is also well known for his LGBTQ activism work, and their three cats, Smokey, Bandit and Chynna.
