Staff Bio: Moof Mayeda

As a queer, Japanese American, gender nonconforming person, Moof is most at home doing intersectional work, whether it’s mobilizing queer people to join a campaign against a racist ballot initiative or running a paid canvass of Latinas talking to Latinas about reproductive justice. As an organizer for the last 10 years, they’ve worked on a variety of electoral campaigns for social justice and LGBT liberation, most recently as the statewide field co-director on the successful same-sex marriage campaign in Maine. Moof loves campaigns because they create concrete change and offer opportunities to build power in a measurable way.
