Sen. Rockefeller becomes 52nd ENDA sponsor



R000361Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.) is poised to become the 52nd co-sponsor of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) in the U.S. Senate.

According to the Washington Blade, Jamal Raad, a spokesperson for Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), told the newspaper that Rockefeller would sign on as a co-sponsor today.

In the past few days, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.) and Tom Carper (D-Del.) also announced that they’ll add their names as co-sponsors of ENDA. Read more here.
