On April 22, Laurie Young, Ph.D., the Task Force’s interim director of public policy and government affairs, moderated the first-ever congressional briefing on LGBT aging. Watch her comments in the video above, as well remarks from other specialists on LGBT aging from SAGE, NCTE and the Howard Brown Center .
Laurie ended her comments by saying the Task Force continues to advocate vigorously for the rights of LGBT elders, and press for an end to the pervasive inequities they face. Learn more about the Task Force’s longtime work on LGBT aging issues right here.
