National LGBTQ Task Force To Host 21st Annual Miami Gala



MIAMI, FL, March 30, 2017—The National LGBTQ Task Force has announced it will host the 2017 National LGBTQ Task Force Gala–Miami on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, 4441 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140. The annual fundraising gala honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the work to expand basic rights and protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) people.

“The annual National LGBTQ Task Force Gala—Miami is South Florida’s premier awards celebration of LGBTQ advocates,” said Russell Roybal, Deputy Executive Director of the National LGBTQ Task Force. “In addition to securing critical funds to support LGBTQ organizations, the evening is filled with glitz, glamour, and memorable surprises. Whether you’re reuniting with former colleagues, forging new friendships, or possibly meeting your future spouse: this is a celebration you won’t want to miss!”

The annual festivities include a hosted cocktail reception, silent auction, gourmet dinner, live entertainment, awards ceremony and after-party. Previous gala honorees include activist and actor George Takei, Broadway producers Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley, civil rights attorney Mary Bonauto, and actor Alan Cumming, among others.
