Miami Valentine’s Day Concert “Love is Love” to Benefit the National LGBTQ Task Force

MIAMI, FL, February 3, 2017—American Idol finalist and Billboard #1 recording artist Kimberley Locke is headlining a Valentine’s Day concert “LOVE IS LOVE.” The event will kick off the countdown to the world famous Winter Party Festival, which supports South Florida LGBTQ organizations and the National LGBTQ Task Force’s national advocacy, training and organizing work. Hosted by Miami Beach City Commissioner and LGBTQ community ally Michael Grieco, the concert is set for Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. at The National in Miami Beach.

“We’re thrilled to be part of this event as it will herald the fabulous Winter Party Festival social programming line-up,” said Michael Bath, National LGBTQ Task Force Events Director. “While the Winter Party dance events are a huge part of the Festival, we are committed to providing other programming through which people can support the cause. We look forward to this partnership and are honored to have Kimberley lend her voice to our community.”

During “LOVE IS LOVE,” Kimberley will sing songs about the joys and the heartaches of romance including “At Last,” “Somewhere over the Rainbow,” and some of her own hits, like “8th World Wonder” and “Change.” Musical director Rick Leonard, one of the finest and most popular pianists in South Florida, will accompany Kimberley on stage. David Sexton and Robert Masterson are producing the event.

“I am an advocate for love—something that we need more of in this world,” said Kimberley Locke. “People are so concerned with judging one another that we miss the daily opportunity to help one another heal. The only way to truly heal the divisiveness in this world is through love and, unfortunately, the ability to truly love with compassion and non-judgment seems to be further and further out of reach. I am happy to be a part of an event that is working to bridge that gap. May that gap overflow with love of all colors, genders, cultures, beliefs, shapes and sizes! Love is love is love!”

General admissions tickets are on sale online for $30, VIP tickets are $100 (which includes champagne for the table and a meet and greet with Kimberley), and VIP Table Tickets are $500 (which includes 5 seats and a two-drink or food minimum). The National Hotel will be offering a Valentine’s Dinner options at 6:30 p.m. and at 9:30 p.m. To book your seats for dinner, please call the concierge desk at 305.532.2311.
