Love Free or Die to premiere at Sundance Film Festival

The new film Love Free or Die will premiere at Sundance Film Festival next week. The film tells the story of openly gay Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson and the catalytic role his leadership has played in the struggle for LGBT equality in church and state.

Just before the premiere, on Sunday, January 22nd, at 10.30 am, some of the most successful national pro-LGBT faith movement leaders will join in worship and conversation with the local congregation of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Park City, Utah. Bishop Otis Charles, former bishop of Utah who came out as gay after he retired, will be present with his husband to lead worship.

The service will be followed by a conversation over brunch with the Bishop, his husband and movement leaders. Task Force Faith Work Director Rebecca Voelkel will join leaders from the Center for American Progress, GLAAD, Human Rights Campaign and Integrity USA for a conversation that will lift up ways we can help our conflicted Christian loved ones support freedom for all in 2012 without leaving their faith traditions behind. The service and conversation will take place at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 4595 North Silver Springs Drive, Park City, Utah.
