Introducing Lexi Rummel

(Thursday, July 11, 2019) Meet Lexi Rummel, another one of our Holly Law Fellow’s this summer. Lexi’s pronouns are she, her hers. Lexi also calls the DMV (District Maryland Virginia) area home. Fairfax, Virginia is not only her current place of residence but is her hometown as well.

Lexi is a 22-year-old who just recently graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies this year. And she will be graduating from the Tulane University Law School in 2021!

Why the Task Force?
I was drawn to the interdisciplinary approach that the Task Force takes with respect to LGBTQ advocacy. I am looking forward to developing a stronger insight into how LGBTQ advocacy is impacted through regulatory efforts, governmental relations, and litigation.

Favorite Quote?
“A kind of light spread out from her. And everything changed color. And the world opened out. And a day was good to awaken to. And there were no limits to anything.” – John Steinbeck

Favorite Movie and Why?
One of my favorite movies is Little Miss Sunshine because it is about embracing and being confident in your imperfections.

Thank you, Lexi!
