Four ways to promote freedom & fairness this Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July — a moment when our country celebrates its freedom and independence! On this July 4th, we’ve got four fast, easy ways keep working toward fairness and freedom for all! Here’s how:

1. Pledge to Queer the Vote on November 6. Pledge to vote and to educate your family, friends and co-workers about important issues on the line in this election year. Take the pledge and get informed at QueertheVote.org.

2. Advocate for the passage of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act. We cannot be truly free if we can still be fired or not hired simply for who we are or who we love. Take action on ENDA.

3. Fight for the freedom to marry. The so-called Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) denies thousands of loving families the protections, rights, and responsibilities already afforded other married couples. Sign the petition to repeal DOMA.

4. Support our work to create lasting positive change for LGBT individuals and their families.
