Fight back against the marriage equality ban in Minnesota

We need to keep the ban against marriage equality from becoming law in Minnesota. Now’s the time to speak up–loud and clear, for what’s right for us, our families and this state.

We know it’s been a long, frustrating process but we’re finally at a critical moment. The Senate voted to advance the bill last week, meaning it can come up for a vote any day now. So please take action today!

Contact your House and Senate members. Tell them that you’re one of their constituents and you oppose the anti-marriage ballot measure and ask them to vote NO at every opportunity.

Come to the Capitol! There’s power in numbers and if the bills go to a floor vote, all of us need to be in St. Paul to witness the debate and the vote and make our lives visible. We’ll let you know when this vote is happening , but we won’t have much advance notice. You can follow OutFront Minnesota and Project 515 on twitter for updates and join the conversation with the hashtag #noh8mn.

Last but not least, show them who we are. Project 515 and OutFront Minnesota are collecting stories and photos of individual Minnesotans and families who opposed this hateful constitutional amendment that would permanently ban marriage for same-sex couples. Please send your stories of up to 500 words and a photograph of your family. Be sure to tell us what city you live in so we can distribute these to your representatives. You can send these stories and photos to info@project515.org.

The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force has been working with Project 515 and OutFront Minnesota for many years and urges you to be part of this effort. Thanks for all you do to stand up for equality.
