We're trying to pass two pieces of critical LGBT legislation in MD.
Our Creating Change keynotes will get folks energized!

We're saddened by the senseless act of violence against Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and all of those injured and killed in the recent Arizona shooting. We stand in sorrow and solidarity with those harmed, and in support of the values of public service, equality and civil rights.

Creating Change co-chairs (left to right) Alfonso Wenker, Kelly Lewis, Rev. Dr. Robyn Provis and Kevin Xiong just can't wait to see you in Minneapolis for our 2011 Creating Change Conference! Join them Feb. 2–6 for the premier annual organizing and skills-building event for the LGBT community and allies. Picture it: you, these four amazing co-chairs and more than 2,000 activists, heating up Minneapolis. Get more info at the Creating Change site.

The Task Force's National Religious Leadership Roundtable released a study on the challenges facing LGBT-affirming religious organizations. David v. Goliath: A Report on Faith Groups Working for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Equality (and What They're Up Against) outlined this movement that welcomes LGBT people and revealed the intense opposition to these groups by the anti-LGBT industry.

A new Congress has just been sworn in and it's time to let your representatives and senators know that you care about LGBT equality and a progressive agenda. One of the first items already being targeted is the health care reform law, which has provisions that benefit many people, including the LGBT community. So please call the Capitol Switchboard at 202.224.3121 today, and tell your legislators that you don't want to see progress repealed.
