WASHINGTON, Oct. 30 — Statement by Rea Carey, Executive Director, National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Action Fund:

"The momentum for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act continues to grow with the announcement by Senator Mark Pryor that he will vote in favor of ENDA. The majority of Americans believe that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people should not be discriminated against at work because of who they are or who they love. This is an historic opportunity for all senators to protect millions of LGBT people from employment discrimination."

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced this week that a vote on ENDA will take place this work period. A vote is expected as early as next week.
