Another Big Marriage Equality Victory: Federal Circuit Court strikes down Virginia same-sex marriage ban

WASHINGTON, DC, July 28, 2014 —The federal Circuit Court has struck down Virginia’s same-sex marriage ban.

"This is another big win for marriage equality. This means that same-sex couples in the Old Dominion will soon be able to get married and — thanks to Governor Terry McAuliffe's non-discrimination executive order — display pictures of their weddings at work without being fired. Today, we can say with hand on heart that Virginia really is for lovers."
