“Love Won Out” is an anti-gay conference promoting the ex-gay ministries of the national conservative evangelical Christian group Focus on the Family. At a recent “Love Won Out” conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Focus on the Family speakers:

• Portrayed lesbians and gay men who do not attempt to resist their sexual orientation as “unhappy, in pain, defensive, broken, and enraged;”
• Declared homosexuality is always the result of a dysfunctional family background and possibly childhood sexual abuse;
• Compared gay rights activists to Nazis, warning that the success of the gay rights movement would lead to Nazism.
