Founded in 1973, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force works to eliminate prejudice, violence and injustice against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people at the local, state and national level. To make our work possible and successful, we rely on the generosity of numerous individuals, organizations, and businesses. An important source of funding comes from our major donor program, the Leadership Council. Leadership Council members make an annual commitment of $1,500 or more and are among the Task Force’s chief partners in creating change for our national community.
When you become a Leadership Council member, you not only help ensure that the Task Force has the financial stability and flexibility to respond to anti-LGBT efforts quickly and strategically, but you also connect with an organization that connects you to the frontlines of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender movement. Depending on the level of your financial commitment, your membership provides you with a variety of opportunities, resources, and information.

Delegate’s Circle $1,500–$2,499- Two tickets to one of the Leadership Awards events, held in Los Angeles, New York, Miami and Washington, D.C., or the Miami Recognition Dinner. Heartfelt and moving, these events honor the movers and shakers in our community!
- A subscription to three Task Force publications, ensuring you’re up to date with what’s happening in the movement: Leadership Council e-news (a bimonthly online newsletter), Creating Change (a quarterly magazine), and our annual report.
