Amanda Decetise
Director of Institutional Gifts
Amanda Decetise joins the Task Force as Director of Institutional Gifts with over ten years experience in the public arena. She has supported organizations with a wide array of missions and focus: higher education, HIV prevention and harm reduction, individuals with disabilities, mental health and health care services, workforce development, and youth programming. She has particular expertise in board and staff development, organizational development, outreach and education strategies, special events planning, and the solicitation of foundation/corporate and city, state and federal support for both direct service and advocacy programs. Most recently, she was the Development Associate for ICD — International Center for the Disabled where her efforts were geared primarily towards foundation fundraising. In addition, she has worked closely with women’s rights organizations including the government-run Women’s Equality Unit in London, England, and the Women’s Center in Albany, NY.
Decetise has dual Bachelor degrees in english/writing and women’s studies from the State University of New York at Albany. In 2004, she earned her Master’s of Fine Arts degree in writing from New School University.
