Technical Assistance
A wide range of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) and progressive organizations and campaigns regularly seek our help to build grassroots political power.
Our organizing team has more than 70 collective years of experience in:
- Campaign management
- Volunteer recruitment
- Leadership development
- Grassroots fundraising
- Training implementation
We regularly consult via phone and e-mail with local partners on a variety of campaign and organizing issues, including LGBT ballot measures. We know that every potential local partner has a different set of needs and challenges, and we tailor our assistance to best meet those needs.
Our technical assistance team can:
- Provide problem-solving and general guidance on electoral organizing to defeat anti-LGBT or pass pro-LGBT initiatives. This can include campaign management, direct voter contact, messaging, fundraising and coalition building.
- Recruit volunteers, volunteer leaders and potential staff to attend leadership skills trainings related to defeating anti-LGBT or passing pro-LGBT initiatives.
- Refer state and local partners to other departments within the Task Force as appropriate, as well as allies nationally and within specific localities as appropriate and available.
- Circulate job postings for campaign/organization positions within a pool of potential candidates.
- Provide access to the Task Force campaign literature and commercial archives of previous campaigns.
- Provide a listing of recommended prospective campaign vendors and consultants as appropriate.
