Ground Transportation from Detroit Metro Airport to Detroit Marriott/Renaissance Center
SMART Bus:
There is a SMART public bus that drops off within a block of the Detroit Marriott/Renaissance Center. The bus /route number is: 125 Fort Street-Eureka Rd. The bus can be caught from either Smith or McNamara terminals at DTW airport on weekdays and on weekends. Please note that buses leave from each of these terminals at different times. The schedule links below will tell you exactly when buses leave from the McNamara terminal and when they leave from the Smith terminal.
Schedule information:
Buses run on this route Monday-Friday at thirty minute intervals. Travel time is approximately 90 minutes. In order to match your flight with a bus time please go to: http://www.smartbus.org/Smart/Ride%20SMART/Route.aspx.

Bus stop near the Detroit Marriot/Renaissance Center:
Ask the bus driver to drop you off at Larned and Baubien. This stop is not on the #125 schedule. However, it is an actual stop and the bus will drop passengers off there. This stop is exactly one block from the Detroit Marriott Hotel/Renaissance Center. Exit the bus, take a right and walk across Jefferson Street to the Detroit Marriott/Renaissance Center. The Renaissance Center is a very noticeable four-tower complex that houses the Detroit Marriott.
Fare:
The cost is: $1.50 each way. You must have exact change and the bus takes one dollar bills.

Select Ride Airport Shuttle
Select Ride Airport Shuttle offers shared-ride vehicles to downtown Detroit:
Hourly door-to-door service, available 18 hours per day, 360 days per year.
Only $24 per person, with additional $3/trip fuel surcharge and $7/trip airport pickup tax for trips from the Detroit Metro Airport.
Hours of operation are from 5:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. every day, excluding major holidays. Baggage is limited to two standard sized pieces. Call 734/663-8898 or toll free (866) 663-8898 to make reservations.
Passengers may be picked up by a van, black car, limo, or yellow cab. Most pick-ups are made with a mini-van marked Select Ride Airport Shuttle.

--Checker Sedan Charges $49.00 one way. However, if you are a wheelchair user, the fare increases to $118.00.
--Metro Airport Taxi charges $41 for anyone regardless of disability. If you are traveling with a wheelchair or scooter or need an accessible taxi, please make a reservation with Metro Airport Taxi at least 24 hours in advance. Metro Taxi has only two accessible vehicles in the fleet, so reservations for those are essential. Reservations can be made any time with Metro Airport Taxi. --1 Airport Ride does not have accessible transportation at all and when contacted, they recommended the Metro Airport Taxi service.
