Jovan Sage
Field Organizer

Jovan Sage, 25, recently moved from Kansas City, Missouri to Brooklyn, New York, continuing her work with social justice and human rights. The work she leaves behind as a community organizer continues to flourish with E.Q.U.A.L, youth-led metro area gay-straight alliance network and the growing Kansas City Safe Schools Coalition.

Sage worked as an Organizing and Training Fellow summer 2007 in Los Angeles with Let California Ring and fall 2007 in New York for the New York Power Summit. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a BA in Communication Studies and is on hiatus from graduate work.
