Inga Sarda-Sorensen
Acting Director of Communications
A self-described news junkie, Inga Sarda-Sorensen has served as a reporter, editor and producer for print and broadcast media outlets representing mainstream and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) press. She sold her first newspaper story — a profile of WNBC anchor Sue Simmons — when she was just 16, and has been ensconced in media ever since. Sarda-Sorensen previously served as a reporter and producer covering New York politics and government for a National Public Radio affiliate in Albany, N.Y. In addition, she was an editor of Just Out, a leading Pacific Northwest LGBT newspaper, and editor of the New York Blade in New York City. She most recently served as communications director of New York's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, the largest LGBT community center on the East Coast. A consummate optimist, she finds inspiration at every turn in our march toward full equality.
