Amy has worked as a Grant Writer and Foundation Specialist for more than a decade with most of that time spent at the LGBT Community Center in New York City. Amy came to the Task Force in February, 2013 with a focus on enhancing the organization’s considerable foundation portfolio. Along with raising more than $3 million a year, her job includes developing and cultivating relationships with existing foundation partners and opening doors to new funders whose mission aligns with that of the Task Force, including progressive foundations that have not funded LGBT organizations before.

Amy holds a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, Divinity School in History of Religions. Her dissertation focused on the exile community of Tibetans living in New York City. Amy is currently involved in social justice work at her synagogue, B’nai Jeshurun, as a co-chair of the Economic Justice Hevra. Amy lives on the Upper West Side with her beautiful dog, Memphis.
